That is a good idea. When I linked

iberiandoctor to the Marwitz transcriptions, for example, they were in two different posts, and in a few more months I wouldn't be able to recall anymore where I'd made them. It would be far easier if we pulled the information/quotes from various discussions together and reordered them by topic. For our own future references as well as for potential readers.

Okay, I took the liberty of creating a

rheinsberg community! I only spent about five minutes putting some bare bones together, because we should all have equal input.

I've invited you both as administrators so you can make whatever changes you want.

I debated "1740 and All That" as a community title, but while it's clever, it's not very informative to the uninitiated and probably won't draw people in. (Do we want that?) If anyone thinks of something that isn't boring but still tells people it's the place to get your Fritz fix, go for it.

[ETA: Aha! It's the community description, not the title, that shows up in search results. So I've set our description to "Frederick the Great" and our title to "1740 and All That". Feel free to offer improvements.]

I listed only a handful of interests; not sure how many of our less famous historical figures we want to list there. I used the English names because it's an English language community and they have the greatest chance of matching on people's searches, even if we use "Heinrich" and "Maria Theresia" in the actual posts.

I've made it so that only select members can post, which so far means the three of us.
