Awwww! I mean, I am a little harsh on poor Lehndorff (and he Is pretty clueless) but he does seem like a genuinely nice, good guy as well.

But also lol forever :) In a later comment you mentioned he was 19 when he first got the job as EC's chamberlain, and I thought, you know, I was pretty emo at 19 too! But ten years later, of course, one chills out some. Absolutely :D

:) He was 19 in 1746 when he got the job. The diary starts in 1750. Which means the guy who is making the 1752/1953 entries about "what little sense I have flies out of the window" when Heinrich touches him is already a mature 25 years old. And when he's visiiting Heinrich mid war in the April of 1760 (and sees him again in Berlin by the end of the same month), he's 33.
