happy Boxing Day!

We had a nice Christmas, with homemade Christmas pizza and what seems like a huge assortment of gifts from D's family (my family had presents a couple months ago). I also got a present for my VERY OWN from D (pens; I have the habit of stealing his pens and it's a bit of a joke). My church also learned that I play violin, and my parents brought my violin back over Thanksgiving, so I imagine I will now be on the hook for all special musical occasions forever and ever. It was, though, quite nice to find that three weeks of daily practice made me sound not quite so pathetic (or maybe just inured to not sounding nearly as good as I used to), although I still can't really play more than about 15 minutes without my fingers getting tired.

The Little One didn't get it at all, although she enjoyed the large boxes some of her presents came in, and she loooved the stacking cups given to her by the awesome family we spent Christmas Eve dinner with.

Back to work tomorrow... work suddenly got busy. I expect not to have much to say for another two weeks.
