Sep. 1st, 2018 07:41 pmGood news: Weiner Staatsoper is streaming La Traviata for free on Sept 21/22/23, with Simon Keenlyside and Pavol Breslik and Albina Shagimuratova. (You do have to register with them, I think.) Link.
Bad news: the production seems to be neither a lavish traditional one nor just commit to its regie-ness (like Big Clock) and does not seem to have gotten great reviews. For instance the review here, for the previous production with Domingo.
Probably good news: it looks like a low-res version of that production with Domingo is available here so one could see what the Sivadier production looked like before committing.
(Of course I'm gonna watch it anyway, one way or another, even if I have to just have it on background while chasing the kids to bed.)
