Had an immensely lovely weekend with friends-and-family. D and I both got to really talk to people we love and it was marvelous. E was more interested in her new little 2-year-old friend than I've ever seen her interested in a new kid (it may have helped that I talked her up constantly); she was completely bemused by the 4.5-year-old seizing on the opportunity to have someone to boss around; we were all completely charmed by the 18-month-old "smile on legs," as I put it and D. agreed; the six-year-old that I hadn't seen since he was two months old was lovely, and so was his suspicious twenty-month-old brother. I didn't sleep at all enough and had a most wonderful time.
And then I went recruiting (and saw more friends for breakfast); the friends were great, the recruiting was incredibly tiring (being an extrovert for four hours tires me out, it turns out, more than anything), and now I am Behind On Life. And sleep. May catch up someday.
