Last post, along with the usual 18th-century suspects, included the Ottonians; changing ideas of conception and women's sexual pleasure; Isabella of Parma (the one who fell in love, and vice versa, with her husband's sister); Henry IV and Bertha (and Henry's second wife divorcing him for "unspeakable sexual acts"). (Okay, Isabella of Parma was 18th century.)

These are indeed awesome news, but alas for my non existent spare time right now!

Well, the archives will still be there next year! In fact, I'm not planning on placing any more orders until I've seen that this process was completed successfully and have worked out arrangements to get them translated by someone who can read them.

Alas for my ability to fulfill your requests, though!

Keith/Knobelsdorff correspondence: Everything I could find even vaguely related to Peter is already in my list. I tried searching for Knobelsdorff, to see if there was correspondence under his name that might include Peter but not by name, but there are a ton of hits for "Knobelsdorff", and I haven't sifted through all of them yet. When I narrowed by "Georg", I got only a few hits, none of which are our guy. (A lot of 16th century hits, actually--this family has been around for a while.)

Gundling: No letters, just "Die von dem kurbrandenburgischen Historiker Gundling für seine Geschichte Kurfürst Friedrichs I. aus dem Plassenburger Archiv verwendeten Urkunden, Aktenstücke etcetera" and "Materialien zur Geschichte der brandenburg-preußischen Historiographen: Ancillon - Leti Enthält: - Ancillon (Charles und Frédéric); Arnold; J. Chr. Bekmann; Carion; Cataneo; J. F. Cramer; Cuhn; Erman; G. A. von Grüneberg; Gundling; Hendreich; Hertzberg; Hübner; M. Kempe; König; Larrey; Leibniz; Leti."

Grigorii: No 18th century hits for his name, either spelled "Grigorii", "Gregorii", or "Georgii"; if he's out there, it's probably under something that doesn't specify his name, unless there's yet another spelling (entirely possible).

Note that the entire body of holdings of the archive hasn't been catalogued online yet, so there may well be stuff out there that could be found in person. Even the Groeben letter for which I have the archive signature isn't in the catalogue, though because I have the signature, I should be able to order it.

At any rate, these are all great ideas and I will keep an eye out whenever I search the holdings! And let me know if you come up with others at any point.
