I gave her a few Kindle samples to try out, and she ended up getting really into Brandon Sanderson's Skyward, which was surprising to me (that was not what I had thought she'd choose). Of course, being a kindle sample, she didn't realize how long it was, and when confronted with the actual book said she might have chosen something shorter... But she liked it!
