Oh, the Pit Dragon series is SF? I feel like I read... a short story that maybe she based the novel on? That could work really well, and she'd like the dragons :) She's read the first three Young Wizard series and liked them! (Though she was amused by what to her was the utter old-fashioned-ness of the computer talk in the third book.)

I have never heard of Gillian Rubenstein, this is great! Thank you!
