And including Emperor Joseph II!
from Derek Beales: Joseph II, Volume 2: Against the World, 1780 - 1790:
Joseph's alleged comment to Mozart about the Entführung, "Too many notes", has been taken as evidence of his ignorance. But he probably said something like, "Too beautiful for our ears, and monstrous many notes." It is always necessary to bear in mind, when appraising the emperor's remarks, his peculiar brand of humor or sarcasm. He was usually getting at someone. And he did not use the royal "we". The ears in question were those of the Viennese audience, whom he was mocking for their limited appreciation of Mozart's elaborate music.
(though not gonna lie, I think it is a LOT of notes)

LOLOL, I IMMEDIATELY knew who this was. :P Brilliant!
I've been transferred to the back of beyond while the himbo got a gorgeous estate, and I still don't know how that happened
*can't stop laughing*
Look at your life, look at your choices, Chalk Remorse. :P
But did either of them get me the job I wanted? They did not! So what's to complain about? AITA?
Hmmm. Weeeellll, you need to communicate when you're not interested a lot more closely. (I was actually using him as a cautionary tale for Royal Patron not long ago, of what happens when you mean no but you have trouble saying no. Not in a romantic situation necessarily, but in general.)
Okay, maybe I shouldn't have said "it's not like we're married" or "ditch the he-man, he's just after your money", but was that a reason for calling me a love rat and an overrated hack?!? AITA?
Oh, Voltaire. There's a reason Pleschinski ships you/Fritz!
