I grew up in a parish that in 1980-ish went from prayerbook to ASB rite B when the joined parish next door (which was higher and had incense) went for rite A. Joint services tended to come unstuck when die-hards from our lot tried to fit "tresspasses" into the space when everyone else was saying "sins".
