Fair enough! I do actually use optical viewfinders, as I never remember to keep my battery charged, and when my battery runs out with the LCD screen I can usually get it to take several more pics with it turned off...
Yes-- I'm very interested to see what happens in that nebulous range between traditional dSLRs and ultra-compact-program-mode PS's. My feeling is that it's been pretty neglected, not least because there weren't very many people interested in that category-- but with the rise of digital and instant-feedback-learning a lot more people (like me) are starting to really fall into that range, and the companies are starting to take notice.
