I'm glad E is having fun with her peers in math camp discord! and ahhhh, phantom. I of course also listened to both phantom and les mis as a teenager, and went all in for my obsession with les mis. Phantom I remember finding interesting on first introduction, but being generally confused about why the phantom would be even considered as a romantic prospect by anyone? and also irritated by how much the musical was focused on romance. the romance in les mis was far more skippable!! hah.
