Yes!! I am sort of ???? at myself that I didn't see it before now, myself? But Wotan does get an awful lot of navel-gazing, I suppose it's not surprising I keyed in on that, and then a big part of my early Ring exposure was via Stephan Donaldson writing about it in an afterword to his Gap series, which was actually a great intro to the Ring as a whole, but is also... very Wotan-centric.
