-I'm going to finish reading Nancy Goldstone's book about Maria Theresia and (some of) her children Maria Christina, Maria Carolina, and Marie Antoinette, In the Shadow of the Empress, and selenak is going to tell us all the things wrong with the last four chapters (spoiler: in the first twenty chapters there have been many, MANY things wrong)!

-mildred_of_midgard is going to tell us about Charles XII of Sweden and the Great Northern War

(seriously, how did I get so lucky to have all these people Telling Me Things, this is AWESOME)

-oh, and also there will be Yuletide signups :D

omg I need more tiiiiiime because I've been enjoying so much all this stuff you guys have been writing, and I haven't been able to respond to it! Hopefully I'll be able to catch up a bit more frequently mid-November when I hope (I HOPE) to have Christmas music (ack) sorted and Yuletide sorted :) Anyway this is all fabulous and I am super enjoying it, and I am really pleased about the hilarious sound bites that might mean I retain bits of it! (But maybe not :P )

But then again the nice thing about waiting to respond to things is that then I get to reread with the benefit of hindsight from later posts, so that's nice!

I'm just saying, it's no wonder I thought "I have resolved X" was a perfectly legitimate way to say things :P

Kind of! Not to fear, he's on my list of things to talk about! I just need to reread the highly inaccurate but more memorable section in Massie and then the more accurate and less memorable in Hatton to get the events straight in my head so I can pass them on.
