Wait, A.E. Housman lied to me! Well, not about the poison immunity part. But I didn't know about his death at all!
I tell the tale I heard told. Mithridates, he died old.
he had yet given an example, unrivaled in history, of what capacity and resolution can effect against the greatest superiority of power and the utmost spite of fortune.
He didn't lie, he just didn't tell you the complete history! Per Wikipedia (I know some Roman history off the top of my head, but not dates), Mithridates VI was 72 when he died. So Housman was not wrong. :P
