Koreans also have nude baths -- which I don't remember much about, the last time my mom took us to Korea was when I was in high school, but I do remember that there was something very freeing, like she says, about everyone just being all crammed together naked, old women and young women alike, although I would certainly not have been able to articulate it at the time.
The most lasting legacy of her time in Turkey was the inoculation performed on her son Edward, though, which when she had it repeated on her daughter - who was born in Turkey - years later when they were back in England started the big fight for inoculation there.
