Everyone knows the Met and other opera companies are streaming opera free right now, right?

Tonight the Met is streaming Eugene Onegin, so everyone should watch it and then report back to me :)

(In two weeks the Met will be streaming their Don Carlo. Just Saying :P )

I've decided that I'm going to stream Tristan while working, not to focus on, but be introduced to, as if it were radio.

Ooh, that's a nice idea. imhoe a lot of Wagner doesn't come off well staged anyway, it's more like an Opera of the Mind.

I've only ever seen Wagner in semi-staged concert versions, and felt it really worked. Opera North's brilliant concert Ring Cycle (their Gotterdammerung was my first ever Wager) is available to view online https://www.operanorth.co.uk/the-ring-cycle/

Oh, VERY cool, thanks! and I agree re the semi-staging, that can really work. (I have to admit I love semi-staging anyway, the kind of interactive? quality of it really sends me.)
