Oh, yeah, that's right. Yeah, I'm willing to go along with that. I dunno, Dumbledore doesn't really have absolute faith in people-- he certainly doesn't in Riddle-- so I think I'd buy that.
I can't imagine why he would feel so remorseful about Voldemort killing James, though, and random Muggleborn, so I'm still thinking that he and Lily were at least friends.
