It doesn't have to be a brain tumour, but something like that, yes. Have you read the latest Pratchett, "Snuff"? There's something odd about that - I can't quite put my finger on any specific examples, but it felt as if someone else was trying to write imitation Pratchett. They're doing it well, it's a good book, but something wasn't quite the same.
