I don't know how I missed this, but: Who can say what I had destined for him? He to me was a first love. is at once terrible and amazing, and is also a massive eff you to his real son (and also his wife, the person who is supposed to be the first love in his heart, anyway). This is powerful stuff, and totally the Philip/Posa hot/wrong kingdom-burning-down obsessive love I want to see, and possibly to offer ;)
