Ascent of the North Face is later. *checks* Yeah, 1983. But the first thing in A Compass Rose is the texts left behind by the revolutionary ant, I love that. Ha, and there's that story about the mental health test and how eventually there's almost nobody left who's sane. I remember that story but had forgotten it's by Le Guin.
