Yeah, I hear you about Frozen (which, ha, is pretty close to the way I feel about Avengers). I think you only caught the tail end of the Disney renaissance? I sort of feel like Disney broke my brain to its will, somewhere along the time Beauty and the Beast came out, and I thought I was safe during That Time Where All the Disney Animated Movies Sucked A Lot, and then it turned out... I wasn't.
