I listened to many of the Foreigner books as audiobooks (nine of them or something), but then they switched reader and I didn't like the new one (also she pronounced all the alien words differently) so I stopped listening. I really liked them, though.
Also I've read one of the Alliance/Union books and plan to read more. I've got Cyteen in the to-read pile in my bookcase. Anyway, I find Cherryh's writing really vivid and immersive.
