Not only are these posts still going, there is now (more) original research going on in them deciphering and translating letters in archives that apparently no one has bothered to look at before?? (Which has now conclusively exonerated Fritz's valet/chamberlain Fredersdorf from the charge that he was dismissed because of financial irregularities and died shortly thereafter "ashamed of his lost honor," as Wikipedia would have it. I'M JUST SAYING.)

Huuuuuh. I see what she's saying (though I guess I've never thought about it that way, given that my parents are in a quasi-arranged marriage. Though I certainly don't think it's a good idea for other reasons.) Anyway, that's really impressive that she could make that argument (especially given that I, a 21st-century person who knows of many fewer arrnaged marriages than she does, did not, although I have other arguments).

ETA: uh, I'm sure you realized I did not mean to say your back pain was good! :( I hope it gets better very soon! <-- *is blaming being swamped and also going on a very small amount of sleep which is almost entirely my own fault*

With our royal reader too busy to read, sounds like salon will be on hiatus for two weeks! (I expect at least that for the back pain.) Though obviously if I receive any Keith papers, I will report the presence or absence of memoirs, though I may not be able to decipher yet.
