I think that gets everyone in we want. (Honestly I will probably just end up requesting Heinrich for plausible gaming away from me and giving prompts for a bunch of other people :P )

How, um--asking for a friend--how do you feel about "Just how spectacular in bed is Kaphengst, anyway?" as a gift? :P Or, more accurately and less tongue-in-cheek: "Heinrich/Kaphengst, the ways in which it worked and the ways in which it didn't." If it's not what you'd want for a gift, how would you feel about it as a treat?

[personal profile] selenak, which characters are you planning to request?

Probably Heinrich, Sophie/Catherine, Lehndorff, Amalie.

I'll give some prompts - Heinrich/Lehndorff or Heinrich & Lehndorff would be equally welcome, Amalie: how she managed to remain single (instead of Fritz marrying her off), or giving her a heart-to-heart with Wilhelmine as the two non-fans of SD in the family, and while I'm ready to write about Heinrich and his childhood friend myself, I'd also welcome a story about them.

Mind you, a story about the legendary Straßburg trip would be GREAT, but then I'd have to request Fritz, Fredersdorf, Algarotti (who isn't among the Fredericians this year) and AW (who isn't, either), and that's a very specific promt. No other combination of these characters is in another prompt I can think of.

Hmm. Would you consider requesting AW instead of one of those 4? I'm more likely to produce Heinrich & AW brother feels fic than Sophie/Catherine fic (due to not having read anything about her recently). And then, assuming you specify OR in your request, the Strasbourg fic would count because of AW, and in fact you could prompt for the Strasbourg trip.

Alternatively, there's always Madness, but I'm much more likely to offer the characters I need to in order to get assigned as your writer if I don't have to offer Sophie/Catherine and risk being assigned someone who requested only Catherine the Great. #GamingTheSystem

If you want to request AW, I'm willing to nominate him instead of Suhm. As much as I love Suhm, no one but you is going to write him for me, and you've already hinted that you're leaning toward Keith/Algarotti, which would more than delight my heart. And there's always Madness if Suhm inspiration strikes.

Okay, you‘ve convinced me - I‘ll request AW instead of you nominate him, and if the Straßburg trip doesn‘t work out, a brotherly feels story would be a very fine prize indeed.

All right, let's do it!

I'll nominate Katte, Keith, Fredersdorf, and AW, I'll request the first three, and I'll poke the muses in the direction of Strasbourg when it comes time to write. After all, [personal profile] cahn's Fredersdorf Christmas 1732 crackfic was very inspirational, and you did write that AW secret diary crackfic for the trip to Strasbourg!

And then we will all be very surprised and not know who could have written the Strasbourg fic in the archive :DD

Lol, I deleted a line from my comment that said, "And then we'll all pretend for a week that we don't know who wrote what, which is always my least favorite part." :P

(Of course, we all were surprised by Christmas 1732, none of us expected three fics on it!)

The surprise I don't mind, it's the faking afterwards. But never mind! I'll see what I can do about signing up. :D

And yes, 3 fics incorporating Christmas 1732 was unexpectedly amazing.

-The AU where Fritz gets captured and Voltaire has to rescue him, and Heinrich is regent (please? :D )

Gonna leave this one to the redoutable [personal profile] selenak. :D

I have a special fondness for the AU where they end up married, with the caveat that they can't hate each other and Heinrich can't punch down, but if they are continually involved in conspiracies to kill each other, so much the better

Oh, damn. See, I've been toying with the idea of writing this one, but I'm going to end up hating it after the fact if I have the chance to research Catherine later on and discover she's completely OOC in my fic and/or I missed the chance to do something obviously awesome. And my chances of researching her in time to write an AU for Yuletide are slim.

But one day maybe!

-The AU where Fritz becomes king of England, then what happens with the Revolutionary War?? and does Heinrich go over to the colonies????

Not feeling this one, but that can change. ;)

Heinrich advises AW as the power behind the throne in my "Fritz escapes to France" fix-it-fic universe?

Excellent!

I am happy to continue prompting it :DD

How do you two feel about keeping a running list of ideas/prompts, not specific to an exchange, that we're especially excited about? Because I feel like I find things out at exchanges that I wish I had known before. We discuss a lot of ideas, but I would not have guessed, say, that [personal profile] selenak was particularly interested in Keith/Lehndorff, or the Strasbourg trip. And so forth. Would there be any interest in keeping a list of your favorite ideas up to date?

And on another fanfic-related note, I've also been thinking for a while, and [personal profile] cahn suggested it around that time too, that we might want to organize the snippets and plot outlines we have written. Does anyone have any thoughts on what they'd like to see done with these? Or, conversely, anything you *don't* want to happen, like, idk, posting a snippet on AO3 if you're planning on turning it into a real fic?

I'm thinking about putting them in [community profile] rheinsberg posts, tagged, and then we can refer back to them if we choose to develop them, or just reread them for fun. And if they do turn into real fics, like Fredersdorf's diary, we can link from the Rheinsberg snippet to the AO3 fic(s).

It would also be useful for things like prompting, as you could go through the tag and go, "Oh, yeah, that one! I want that one."

Thoughts?
