lol, I've also been thinking about Phantom/Love Never Dies this past week due to having recently met up with the friend I saw LND with for the first time since that day! I still have a deep fondness for the Phantom music and I do think a large part of that is the experience of hearing the extremely boring songs in LND and grasping onto the Phantom reprises as a lifeline whenever they appeared ... and I also would love to know what happened to Andre and Fermin and the Girys after the leads made their dramatic exit from the Paris Opera House.

genarti and I also often frequently quote to each other something we saw in a Norm Lewis interview when he took on the role, in which he discussed preparing to sing the part of the Phantom by asking himself "who is this man, and why is he acting like a giant baby?"
