Still going! Still clearing Fritz's valet/chamberlain Fredersdorf's name from the calumny enshrined in wikipedia that he was dismissed for financial irregularities!
Henry Cavendish actually appears to me to be a relatively distant cousin (it's too late at night for me to figure this out, but I think second cousin?) to William Cavendish, not Georgiana's brother-in-law.
Just because I know mildred will care and correct me if I don't do it first, I looked it up this morning, and Georgiana's husband and Henry Cavendish, if the genealogy I got from Wikipedia is correct (which I assume it is), appear to be first cousins once removed :PP
Hahaha, under normal circumstances you would be right, but these days handwriting decipherment takes up all my time. No time to be a detective!
The good news is that my boss has approved me taking the first week of May off, so week after next, and I intend to use it to focus on handwriting. I had no intention of requesting time off until this project came along.
But lol at you remembering my recent post that indicates that I would care! :D
Ha! I will also say for the record that it wasn't the definition of nth cousins vs. cousins removed that was the problem (I figured out what those were once we started having regular family reunions and my cousins' kids wanted to know what relation I and my kids were to them), it was that at 11pm I didn't have either the brainpower to keep track of the relationships or the willpower to get paper and pencil and write them down :)
