That is fair and I can see having that problem! (Part of the issue too is that I feel like the magical stuff in Spinning Silver -- and some of it in Uprooted, tbh -- kind of segues into how the romantic relationships sort of intersect with Novik's id, which... I don't share Novik's romantic id, I think :)
