Heh, well, good for her school! I actually think it's not a bad idea to go through the whole process once, but... you don't have to do it constantly, any more than you have to derive the quadratic formula every time you use it.

Oh, I like that her teacher names the algorithms! I don't think I know names for a lot of the elementary-school algorithms.
