Again: DO YOUR RESEARCH, SCRITPWRITERS. This was before the internet, so they couldn't google "Friedrich II" and "Shakespeare" and get "great disdain" as a result, granted, but really, his literary preferences were not hard to find out even in the 80s.
(Oh, and young Sophie in the early 1740s probably had no idea who Shakespeare was, along with most of Germany. German Shakeaspeare mania was a thing of the 1770s onwards (though then it never really stopped).
