I read a bit further in Blanning, and he's got a nice overview of the European political scene leading up to the War of the Austrian Succession that I think would be interesting and useful for you to read when you have time. :)

Meanwhile, I will try to continue my slow reading and commentary.

I am virtually dancing at this. Everything you and selenak find seems to point to Fredersdorf Not Being Dismissed for embezzelment, which makes me verrrrrry happy :DDDDD

I love how delighted you are! Just think, a year ago your only reaction would have been, "Fredersdorf who?"

I too am delighted over the increasing evidence in favor of Fredersdorf's exoneration, needless to say. <3 I'm happy for Fritz's sake too, as well as Fredersdorf's. That would not have been a happy ending for them.
