At the same time I must own to Your Lordship that I never wish to see the same brothers in the same army. My reason is, that there cannot be two suns in the same firmanment.
I know, I know, I can't get enough of Heinrich-Fritz, even second-hand.
Basically, the only key player in this war never reported to be either at death's door or able to be bribed out of it is MT. I suppose no spy would have dared to make up that story.
heeeee!
But! Editor tells us, remember that Fritz and Heinrich were half Hannover, too. So he's totally claiming them for England. While he's at it, he claims Wilhelmine and Amalie, too, as great women. What with being half Hannover.
LOL. Um. Right. Tell SD that too while you're at it, 'kay?
But what surprises me still more is, that whenever Voltaire's name is mentioned, his Prussian Majesty never fails to give him the epitephs he may deserve, which are the worst heart and the greatest rascal now living; yet with all this he continues to correspond with him.
LOL. Um. Right. Tell SD that too while you're at it, 'kay?
SD: Well, of course all what's good and great in my children comes from my side of the family! And I'm very proud of my boys. As for my daughters, well, I certainly gave them a good start, and they are talented, to be sure, but Wilhelmine ending up with that beggar prince instead of on the English throne is entirely her fault for giving in to her father. Which means she's partly a Hohenzollern after all. As for Amalie, never did I think I'd see the day when one of my daughters would be reduced to the status of Protestant nun in order to have a secure income. I raised all of them to be Queens. Clearly, a disagreeable Hohenzollern strain runs through her as well.
(omg, I'm sorry I missed replying to this earlier!) SD!! You are the worst! But selenak, you are the best! This is so hilarious, in a completely facepalmy way.

Yes, Mitchell, it is indeed hilarious :)
