Indeed, though it's not that Heinrich overlooks him

This is the difference between Heinrich overlooking him, and Heinrich leaving him *feeling* overlooked, the contrast being reflected by the main text written by the hormonal young man and the older, wiser footnote. Emotions aren't always rational.

I did actually say that in the sentence following "Emotions aren't always rational," and then I deleted it because I didn't want to belabor the point.

I swear, every time I delete something, you pick up on it. You've done it at least half a dozen times now. :)
