Aha! No, not one of my faves, but I'm open to learning new things.

there is no official Kindle version, otherwise I would totally buy it for you. If you would like me to buy you a hardcopy -- though I think you can't read them right now?? -- I would absolutely love to do that.

<3 The offer is much appreciated. Sadly, I haven't been able to read hard copies for 3 years (*sob*), and if I could read a hard copy, it would mean I could go back to work full time and make enough money to, maybe not commission operas and TV shows :P, but definitely buy as many books as my heart desired.

But I will put it on my mental list for a distant future that I hope to live in. (This month, I'm too sleep-deprived to read *anything*, but hopefully that will pass sooner rather than later.)

as long as you remember it's a novel and not actually history

Ha. I'm starting to read histories as novels, it's ridiculous. The number of times I go read something in a bio of Fritz, follow the footnote to his correspondence (which is thankfully online), and start yelling, "But that's not what that says, blasted author!" And that's not counting all the Alexander the Great and Scott/Amundsen stuff where I know off the top of my head where the author is getting their claims and start yelling without even putting down the book.

Fictionalized bios in general: if I haven't already recced Dark Quartet, the Bronte siblings, it's my favorite by far.
