To me, the key difference is that Alexander would have gone for patricide way before Küstrin. Guess having Olympias instead of Sophia Dorothea for a mother makes all the difference. Meanwhile, I don't think Fritz would have killed Kleitus for making the "you'd have been nothing without your dad" crack, but he would have made his life spectacularly unpleasant.
