Yes, I know just enough German (not very coincidentally, I decided I should learn German when discovering Die Zauberflöte -- but did not get very far; this whole conversation is making me think I should, though, someday when I have more tiiiiime) that I thought I might be able to parse it. It helps that German structure is very much like archaic English structure :P :)
