Ugh whyyyyyy. I'm pretty sure I've seen clips of that production. I mean if you can't afford to stage a big auto-da-fe, I get that, but at least give Philip a nice outfit, geez. Like the Vienna Simon Boccanegra was fairly minimalistic and okay had a couple of weird costume choices, but I still thought it came across nicely.
