Since you mentioned Carl August's mom was the kid of Charlotte (?)... tell me about Charlotte? It's hard to follow Wilhelmine's memoirs because she only ever mentions "my sister" even when (I think) she's talking about different sisters within a couple of pages, so I don't really understand what Wilhelmine thinks about Charlotte, much less whether she is justified in thinking so.

As far as I can tell, there seems to be at least one sister Wilhelmine wasn't on good terms with, who (at least from Wilhelmine's point of view) was jealous (?) of her, and at least one sister she seemed to be on generally good terms with (was this Charlotte?).

It's not super clear from the memoirs, but it does seem a little like they weren't quite as battered around as Wilhelmine and Fritz.
