I really liked the premise of this book, and after the Kindle sample I bought it, but I petered out and lost interest about halfway through. Too bad.

I've been debating the "blog everything I read in June" idea. Beyond my limited ability to type, my problem is I rarely read books cover-to-cover, so I'm not sure what would count as "reading". I also tend to spread books out over months, so I'm not sure what would count as "June". Haha.

Btw, "OK" came into use in its modern sense in the 1830s. I'm not sure whether a particular character would have used it, but it was out there and in writing to the point where we have plenty of attestations (and slang tends to end up in writing well after it starts being used in speech, or at least that was the case before the internet).
