D likes Cryptonomicon too, and told me I would probably like it but that -- if I remember correctly? -- it suffers from the usual Stephenson ending problem. I was never sure it would be worth reading to get to a Stephenson ending, but maybe it is. I've never heard of DODO. Does it have a proper ending?
