Scarlett starts out an indifferent and neglectful "Why do these rugrats keep following me around?" mother to her first two kids, turns into an overindulgent mother at the end of GWTW to her third kid, and by the end of Scarlett, is actually a good mother to her fourth kid. There's a pretty clear difference in Scarlett having kids in her teens, 20s, and 30s.
