I actually liked the class battle scenes, but I'm... sort of a sucker for that kind of thing. (I also was reading them on installment at the time, so redundancy didn't bother me so much.)

But yes, I very much enjoyed the "okay, wait, what are the rules that magic follows, and what the heck?!" themes, and was kind of sad when it morphed away from that.

D also likes it a lot :) It is to my knowledge the only fanfic he's ever read, much less finished, although he also was bugged by some of the things I talked about (though not the Hermione superhero thing).
