Yeah, that's fair that Leisha should really have worked it out substantially sooner -- and it goes along with a certain clunkiness to how she's presented in general, I think, in order to make the story work; for example, I also feel like it seems rather to defy logic that she would be quite so optimistic about human nature for quite so long...
